Prior to the release of the movie, Jung Woo-sung was interviewed about his character Sim Hak-gyu and the love making scene.

He was asked, "What kind of character is Hak-gyu? Is he into drinking, women and gambling?" to which he answered, "He's a man with a strong ego and is obsessive with anything he wants or is satisfied with. Most artists are obsessive with what they want. He doesn't give up the pleasure that he feels from it and I wanted to emphasize the fact that he runs head first into anything despite his weary eyesight".

Was there anything Hak-gyu didn't understand? Jeong nods and says, "Psychologically Hak-gyu found it hard to leave Deok-I in the motel room by herself. It was hard on me, too; acting that part when Deok-I was at her worst. I wanted to deliver Hak-gyu's best choice as it's something he's made a background of".

When Jeong was asked, "Do you think the initiative of the movie was delivered well?" he answered, "The love making with Deok-I and the way of Hak-gyu's life had to be shown in the same scene otherwise it was just going end at that. However, I think the message has been delivered. It had to show the natural instinct of the body when they were having sex and it had to be extreme. The characters natural instinct had to be delivered the way they were".

Jung Woo-sung's performance of a blind man was impressive. He said, "I looked at the interviews from the foundation for the blind and listened to them. I decided to follow my heart. And later when I monitored myself, I wondered if I really looked like that. Even the director asked if that was good enough".

Meanwhile, "Scarlet Innocence" is about the love and passion, obsession and connection between a man and woman and his daughter. Starring Jung Woo-sung, Esom and Park So-yeong. To be released on the 2nd of October.
