In showbiz, the best news is always about love.

This week, Hallyu star Jun Ji-hyun [전지현] formally announced that she's been hit with Cupid's arrow.

It's the first time in Jun Ji-hyun's long career that she's admitted publicly to a romantic relationship! We followed her to a fan signing to ask some questions, but she's declining to comment. We're all waiting to hear wedding bells soon, and we're all so happy for you, Jun Ji-hyun.

News #4 involves a battle of the Hallyu VIPs at the movies.

Two upcoming movies challenged each other by having their VIP previews on the same day.

Each preview had a Who's Who list of guests! For "Pacemaker", we saw good friends of SM Entertainment actress Go Ara like TVXQ and BoA.

Meanwhile, for "The Outback", Girls' Generation and SHINee turned out to support the voice acting of respective members Sunny and Taemin.

The group BIGBANG has been chosen as a reason to visit Korea.

BIGBANG recently won the "World Wide Act" award at the "2011 MTV Europe Music Awards". Their popularity seems to have carried over to the United States!

CNN released a list of 12 reasons to visit Korea in 2012, and BIGBANG was one of them! Hey world, in 2012, come to Korea to meet BIGBANG!

Next up, we have Kim Jun-su of JYJ, who funded a school in Cambodia.

Since 2008, Kim Jun-su had been supporting a fund to build schools in underdeveloped areas. This year, he decided to use his private donations to build a school in Cambodia.

Our top news of the week are the debuts of new stars to dominate 2012!

First, there's Chaos, a five-member boy band that debuted on January 6th, 2012! They immediately became a favorite among female fans with their single album "She's Coming".

But Chaos already has competition! EXO, a boy band created by a major label, is grabbing the attention of fans by slowly revealing its members on its website, one by one.

Then on January 10th, the much-talked about group SPICA finally released their single "Potently". The music video became a hot topic, with A-list star Lee Hyori filling the screen.

In 2012, Hallyu is sure to get another boost from these new idol groups.
