4minute's song "Why" features on the soundtrack for the Japanese drama "Akutou: Juuhanzai Sousahan (Villains: Felony Investigation Team)", which first aired on Asahi TV, Jan. 21.

"'Why' is an electronic dance number armed with a super-tense beat", said 4minute's agent, Cube Entertainment, Jan. 24. "The members' powerful tone well matches the intense action and fast-paced plot development of the detective drama series".

The series stars Katsunori Takahashi, 45, who plays Togashi, a police detective described as the "most powerful antihero ever". His felony investigation unit goes to all lengths to complete their investigations, even committing blackmail, violence, and deceiving their superiors.

4minute debuted in Japan last May, and is set to release a single there March 2 which will include the track "Why". The track has created a buzz amongst fans, who have been listening to a preview since Jan. 19.

4minute is currently recording their next Korean album.
