K-pop star Rain to go on world tour

K-pop idol Rain will go on a six-month world tour from December, holding 35 performances in 12 countries, mostly in Asia and in the United States.

"The world tour Rains Coming' will be aimed at sending love to marginalized neighbors", said Rain in a press conference held at a hotel in Seoul on Wednesday.

The tour is expected to generate over 100 billion won ($106 million) in profits including 56 billion won in ticket sales, 20 billion in performance copyrights and 1.3 billion in broadcasting rights, according to Rain's tour organizing company StarM Entertainment.
