K-Pop Wave in Thailand Concert

Hallyu is undeniably popular in Thailand now! The desire of all fans to see their Hallyu stars perform live has always run high!

Arirang TV and the Thai radio station, PD Creation, have joined hands to bring "K-Pop Wave in Thailand" to Thai fans.

[Interview : TVXQ , Singers] "We are happy to take part in a concert with such a good purpose".

[Interview : Se7en, Singer] "I am happy to be able to perform with other fellow Korean singers. I will make sure to perform to my best".

The proceeds from the concert will be donated to the victims of the recent Japanese earthquake. With the Thai Royal Family also having made a donation, this concert will be a place to gather messages of encouragement for the Japanese people.

[Interview : Wanthanabhadee Jittanukorih, CEO PD Creation Radio Station ] "Thailand and Korea came together to host a charity concert for the victims of the recent Japanese earthquake. Both countries have agreed to participate in future events like this. We look forward to seeing both countries get even closer whiletaking part in events like this".

There was a separate fund drive at the venue of the concert for the victims. While entrance to the concert is free, audience members are encouraged to make any donation they wish.

This voluntary charity drive left a deep impression on Japan.

A very special group of fans came to the Hallyu concert. They are the Arirang TV fan club! 600 members from Indonesia and some 250 members from Thailand stay in touch with one another through Facebook and other social networking services.

They first encountered Hallyu through Arirang TV! They created an Arirang TV fan club through Twitter, Facebook and other social networking services, and even came to Thailand to take part in the concert!
