Kang Ji-hwan Done With 2nd Round of Questioning, Warrant Issues Today

Actor Kang Ji-hwan, who was arrested on the charges of having sexually assaulted two staff members, got out of 2nd questioning.

According to the Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency and Gwangju Police Station, Kang was questioned twice for 3 hours from 6 to 9PM at the Sungnam Bundang Police Station.

Kang was arrested for sexually assaulting A and B after drinking in his house and going into their rooms while they were asleep. It is a sexual assault under the Special Act on the Punishment of Violent Crimes. Kang told the police, "I don't remember a thing because I was so drunk".

According to police investigations, the warrant on Kang will be issued on the 11th.

Kang's agency revealed, "Kang Ji-hwan has cancelled all of his schedules to concentrate on the police investigations. We are trying to figure out what happened and in addition to the seriousness of this matter, we feel responsible for the failure to thoroughly manage our actors".

TV Chosun drama "Joseon Survival", which Kang Ji-hwan is starring in, has broadcast 10 episodes with 6 more left to go. TV Chosun announced, "This week's broadcast will be cancelled, and there will be no reruns as well". It is unclear whether the broadcast will resume in the future.
