KAPA to establish 'Animation Producer Special Education Course

For the purpose of creation animation production's capacity strengthening at home, the Korea Animation Producers Association collects trainees by establishing 'Animation Producer Special Education Course.

This special education course to nurture animation producers is proceeded with the support of the Ministry of Culture & Tourism and KOCCA (Korea Culture & Content Agency).

An official responsible for this education course at the Association said that this course will be an opportunity to provide trainees with wide perspectives and special approach methods about animation planning by means of an on-the-job producer lectures as well as case-oriented lecture of oversea special instructors and so on.

Its education schedule is 10 weeks from July 1 through September 6. Its application period is from June 23-through June 29.

Mr. Choon Man Lee, president of KAPA, said, "Animation can bring greater return to a country that is short of natural resources. Most of all, the young generations in Korea have great interest in Animation".

Therefore, Universities and Academic institutions are enthusiastically promoting and developing specialists. He explained, "Without any doubt, Animation industry will play key role in the globalization of Korean entertainment industry and give significant contribution toward our economy in general.
