Kara "JUMPING" bounces to No. 5 on weekly Oricon chart

Girl group Kara's new album "JUMPING" has reached fifth place on Japan's weekly Oricon chart.

"JUMPING", Kara's second single album in Japan, took the No. 5 spot on the prestigious chart following popular bands in Japan including Arashi, Perfume, Soul Brothers and Yusuke, while also scoring higher than AKB48, one of the most popular girl groups in the country.

The tracks in the album "JUMPING" and its music video has also been one of the top downloads on various online music sites.

"JUMPING" was released in Japan on November 10 and also in Korea five days later as Kara's fourth mini-album.

Kara composed of five member Gu Hara, Han Seung-yeon, Park Gyu-lee, Kang Ji-young and Nicole debuted in 2007 and produced several runaway hit songs including "Pretty Girl", "Mister<" "Honey", and "Lupin".

The group's Japanese debut came in August this year with their first Japanese single "Mister" which landed at fifth place on both Oricon's daily and weekly chart. Then their succeeding best album "Kara BEST 2007-2010" landed at second on both charts.
