The drama, produced by Japan's TV Man Union with investment from Korea's CJ Media, is also reportedly set to be broadcast in Korea beginning late January through tvN under the Korean title "Kara's Double Life".

The article points out that the series "will show the different personalities and roles of the five members". It continues: "While leader Park Gyu-ri will play an introverted and cautious character, Nicole will be depicted as a romantic full of fantasies of love. Han Seung-yeon, Gu Ha-ra and Kang Ji-young will (respectively) show opportunistic, passionate and cool-headed minds towards relationships".

Kara debuted in Korea in March 2007 and in Japan in August 2010 with their single "Mister", which reached No. 2 ranking on Japan's weekly Oricon album charts in October. The following month, Kara release the single "Jumping" in Japan.
