Already on its second year, the annual New-Media Contents Contest is held to promote the production of excellent new-media contents by encouraging talented content producers to participate in it. A project of the Korea Broadcasting Institute (MIB, Director: Yu, Gyun), the contest, in particular, aims to discover competitive new-media materials and to make these available and accessible to those who may be interested in them, and to promote the advancement of the new-media industry by supporting talented new-media contents creators.

The 2007 New-Media Contents Contest calls for works in DMB, mobile, IPTV, and other new media, particularly in two categories: planned works and completed works. The screening criteria consist of the characteristics of new media: story-telling, mobility, and interactivity.
