KBS Documentary 'Noodle Road' Wins ABU Top Prize

The acclaimed KBS documentary "Noodle Road" has won the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union's ABU award for best documentary.
The Korean Broadcasting System says the documentary, titled for submission as "Mysterious Food is Born", won the grand prize in the TV documentary category at the ABU Prizes 2009 award ceremony held Monday evening in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The documentary on Asian food culture, viewed through the history of noodle dishes, aired in Korea late last year and won the 2009 Korean Broadcast Award.
A radio program produced by the Changwon branch of KBS titled "Report on Sexual Assault: No Country for Girls" also received a special prize in the radio documentary category at the ABU awards.
