KBS, SABC Agree on Broadcasting Cooperation

KBS and The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) have signed an agreement on broadcasting cooperation.

KBS President Jung Yun-joo and his SABC counterpart Dali Mpofu signed the agreement at a ceremony Friday on the sidelines of the 2007 Public Broadcasters International (PBI) conference in Seoul.

Under the agreement, the two sides will exchange television programs and share information on technology and production.

SABC is South Africa's largest state-owned broadcaster with three terrestrial television channels and a paid satellite channel for the African public. The company has exclusive broadcast rights to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
