Los Angeles Convention Center Confirmed as Convention Site for KCON 2015 LA

K-pop pioneers Shinhwa and KCON veterans VIXX have both been added to the artist line-up for KCON 2015 USA presented by Toyota (www.kconusa.com). Shinhwa will be performing at the west coast edition with VIXX heading east.

Last year, over 42,000 passionate fans of Korean pop culture traveled from around the U.S. to solidify KCON as a summer Los Angeles staple. Once again, droves of K-entertainment fans will come together to experience unforgettable concerts, panels, workshops, food, fashion and much more. Now with sister events on both sides of the country for the first time, this year's KCON is on track to be the largest ever.

KCON 2015 LA takes place over three days from July 31- August 2, with two concerts at Downtown Los Angeles' Staples Center, and convention programming to take over the gigantic West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Additionally, KCON 2015 NY will launch with a one day convention and concert held in the New York metro area at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Tickets for both KCON 2015 sites will go on sale in June. Dates and times are as follows:
-       June 18 (10am PT // 1pm ET) – Los Angeles Platinum and Combo tickets go on-sale.
-       June 21 (10am PT // 1pm ET) – Los Angeles Individual Tickets go on-sale
-       June 25 (10am PT // 1pm ET) – All Tickets for New York go on-sale.

Newly Added Artists:

-       [Los Angeles] Shinhwa debuted in 1998 and is the longest running boyband in Korean pop history. With a run like that, the fact that Shinhwa is the Korean word for legend is not a joke, especially considering their enthusiastic fanbase who are set to color KCON with their signature orange. The group recently dropped their 17th album "We" in March, which is a compilation of tracks from the group's history. The six member group is currently under Good Entertainment.

-       [New York] VIXX released their first album "Super Hero" in 2012, and has since become one of the more popular groups in the K-pop scene. Known for their stage performances and concept, VIXX performed at the first KCON in 2012 and most recently appeared at the Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day event held at the National Mall in Washington DC. VIXX is under Jellyfish Entertainment and released their "Boys' Record" this February.
