"Life is But an Empty Dream" is a commemoration to the 10th Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival and it's the story of Dong-wan who wanted to become headliner at the music festival with his own band.

In the movie, Dong-wan is just a manager behind the stage unlike his dream. He is busy taking care of little and big things that happen behind the stage. Kim Dong-wan plays a character who has dreams about a big stage he hasn't been on yet.

Choi Phillip and Mina Fujii are also characters in the movie who work at the festival for the first time. Choi Phillip fails to apply for jobs every time so getting a job becomes his life's goal. Mina Fujii goes to the festival as a staff member to meet the boyfriend who has been out of reach. She is not one of Dong-wan's favorites but she comforts Dong-wan who strives for his dream. Choi Phillip and Mina Fujii play those characters.

This movie is produced like a music documentary which delivers the passionate and exciting scenes of the Pentaport Rock Festival.

The movie was filmed at the 2014 Pentaport Rock Festival for real and stars Orange Range, a band that was actually on the stage and other national and international bands.
