Kim Hye-jin Combines Modeling with Volunteer Work

Actress Kim Hye-jin, who has been acting only occasionally recently, has earned credit for her commercial film activities. Last year alone Kim appeared in more than 20 commercial films, winning the CF Model Award from the Korea Model Association.
But Kim also spares time for her volunteer work. Last year she visited Cambodia to help build homes for the needy as a member of a volunteer group comprising entertainers. In April this year, she ascended one of the Himalayan peaks in Nepal along with foreign workers who had received work injuries and people of mixed heritage. Recently, she has been helping elderly people living alone as well as starving children.
Kim says she can't turn away from underprivileged people when she hears their heart-wrenching stories and that doing volunteer work for them helps her chase away sadness. Kim also pledged efforts to continue to help the less privileged in the future.
