Kim Hyun-joong made his position clear about the 1.6 billion won claim for damages by his ex-girlfriend on the SBS TV show "TV News At Night".

Kim was sued for assault and physical abuse in August last year. This time, he's caught up in a 1.6 billion won trial for conflict and offence by the same girlfriend who is now pregnant.

Kim Hyun-joong's legal authorities claim, "She filed a report for 1.6 billion won on April 7th".

What happened between the two of them? In February, Choi apparently got pregnant with Kim Hyun-joong's child and rumors of them getting reunited spread but Kim Hyun-joong claimed otherwise. Choi claimed he was the baby's father and that she had evidence to prove it.

Kim's legal attorney claimed, "She continuously sent messages asking him to make decisions as a father and said she would take legal measures if he didn't. Then she filed a case for 1.6 billion won".

Lawyer Jeong Yeon-seok explained, "The claim for her mental distress only takes up about a few million but other than alimony for Choi, she doesn't think she's going to get all of it. She just expressed her distress through the amount of money".

Kim's attorney said, "There's word that the case will influence his attendance in the military, and a civil suit can go on without the person of matter, with a substitute as well. When DNA checks out that he is the real father then he's going to take responsibility and he doesn't have means to come to a mutual agreement.
