Anthony Kim is a very well-respected persona in the Korean entertainment industry. He is the CEO of Jaekuk Entertainment/Empire Entertainment, a production company that has created phenomenally successful TV series which paved the way for actors to become hallyu stars.

He exists to make as much money, and gain as much power as possible, regardless of who suffers. To achieve all these, he is willing to violate business or social ethics, and even commits crime, and justifies such actions as "business".

University students revere and admire him but little do they know what this highly successful man who oozes with charm, confidence and charisma does behind closed doors.

Earlier this summer, Kim Myung Min International had an interview with Kim Myung-min, the actor behind the talented, yet obnoxious character.

Kim Myung-min disclosed, "Anthony Kim is indeed a brilliant man who is extremely good with what he does. He also holds a "secret weapon" that he believes guarantees his success. That "weapon" is his ring".

On the first episode of ""King of the Drama", Anthony Kim wears a golden ring on his right pinky finger. However, due to an accident, he lost the ring.

The method actor said, "Anthony Kim cherishes his ring so much as he is convinced that his success depends on it. When he lost the ring, he met his downfall. From then on, he always wore the ring".

According to Kim Myung-min, his new drama is somewhat a parody of J. R. R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Ring" (which explains why the title is called "The Lord of the Drama"). In the Tokien's story, the "One Ring", which has a will of its own, is the most powerful of all rings, and whoever wore that ring had dominion over others.

In addition, the "One Ring" could also cause those who possess it to become obsessed with it. Is this also the case with Anthony Kim?

Kim Myung-min revealed, "One distinct mannerism of Anthony Kim is that whenever he feels unstable, he unconsciously touches his ring".

Now that Anthony Kim has lost his ring, will he be able to find it again, or will the ring find its way back to his Lord? Stay tuned for "King of the Drama" as the story about Anthony Kim and his ring unfolds. The 16-episode TV series airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:55pm on SBS.
