Kim Named Asia's Best Star

Singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong has been named as Asia's best male star by Yahoo Korea, Yahoo Taiwan and Yahoo Hong Kong, Yonhap News Agency reported Tuesday.
The selection process was conducted to name the winners of the Yahoo Asia Buzz Award 2009. Winners were picked based on search results in South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
SS501, of which Kim is the leader, has been selected as Asia's best group. The award for Asia's best female star went to Taiwanese actress Lin I-chen.
Kim, 23, made his debut as a member of SS501 in 2005. He stole the spotlight by playing Yoon Ji-hoo in the hit drama "Boys over Flowers" earlier this year.

야후 코리아는 야후 대만, 야후 홍콩과 함께 진행한 '2009 야후! 아시아 버즈 어워드'에서 배우겸 가수 김현중 (23)이 올해 최고의 남자 스타로 뽑혔다고 밝혔다.
'야후 아시아 버즈 어워드'는 한국, 대만, 홍콩 등 3개국이 각각 한 해의 검색 결과를 토대로 최고 남자 스타, 여자 스타, 가수(그룹) 등 3개 부문을 시상하며, 3국의 결과를 모아 인터내셔널 부문 시상도 진행한다.
김현중이 리더로 있는 SS501은 아시아 최고 그룹으로 뽑혔다. 최고 여자 스타는 대만의 여배우 린이천 (林依晨)에게 돌아갔다.
2005년 SS501의 멤버로 데뷔한 김현중은 올해 초 히트 드라마 `꽃보다 남자'에서 윤지후 역을 맡아 큰 인기를 끌었다.
