Kim Rae-won starts up to penetrate Japan

Hallyu - a Korean wave - top star Kim Rae-won had a massive fan meeting on Dec. 4 in Tokyo to promote his photo book "Pure". It was a great success with 2 thousand participants at the fan meeting hosted by KNTV, a Korea specialized TV channel in Japan.

KNTV expected that next year would be "Kim Rae-won's year" as the calendar of 2005 was decorated with Kim's photos. CEO Muto Yoshinoriof KNTV said, "1200 tickets of the first floor for KIm's fan meeting were sold out 3 minutes later after ticketing start and all tickets of the second floor were sellout in 20 minutes. We were also very surprised. We realized that Kim is really popular in Japan".

Meanwhile, Kim's melo-movie "...ing" directed Lee Eon-hee and produced Dreammax will be released from Dec. 10 in Japan. It will bring a synergy effect with his photo book. Next year Kim's new film "Mister Socrates" (Director Choi Ji-won, Production Courage & Ozon Film) will be shown in Japan, he will strengthen his reputation as a Hallyu star.
