"I'm cautious and upset about the timing of the release of the film amidst the coronavirus epidemic", Kim said after a press screening of the movie on Tuesday, which was scaled down due to the epidemic.

Loved by movie fans for her portrayals of mostly innocent young women, she is once again in her zone in this romantic comedy.

Kim plays a part-timer in a coffee shop who lives from hand to mouth with her mother, who suffers from dementia, but there is a romance going on between a young couple who find a strange book which brings magical changes to their lives.

"Despite fears over the virus, we decided to go ahead with the release of the film. We've been waiting for the release for so long and eventually made the decision that it cannot be postponed further", Kim said.

In fact, the release dates of more than 50 new films have been canceled or postponed due to concerns about the virus.

"But we will minimize promotional events as much as possible. Honestly I hope many watch this film, but it's so regrettable for me not to be able to ask fans to do so", Kim added.

The film is slated for release next week.
