Kim Woo-bin Donates Narration Fees in Masks for Children With Cancer

2020/03/19 Source

Actor Kim Woo-bin donated his entire narrations fees from the MBC foundation special documentary "Humanimal" to the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation.

His agency explained, "Kim Woo-bin made this decision after learning that children whose immune systems are weakened by chemotherapy don't have enough masks to protect themselves from the COVID19".

The Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation is the first place where Kim Woo-bin's fans made donations under his name when they heard about his diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. On the 16th of July in 2017 which was the actor's 29th birthday, his fans clubs Woori Bin, DC Woo-bin Gallery and Nuna Union raised funds to provide medical expenses for children diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.

"Starting with 995 kits containing anti-bacterial products, we are doing our best to help children with cancer who are vulnerable to infection", said Seo Seon-won, secretary general of the Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation. "We are grateful to actor Kim Woo-bin for helping us when we need it because of the rising cost of masks".

The Korea Leukemia Children's Foundation plans to spend all of the funds it received on the cost of purchasing masks and provide emergency support to families of childhood cancer patients across the country.

Meanwhile, Kim Woo-bin donated 100 million won in February to prevent the spread of the COVID19 and to prevent the infection of vulnerable people.
