Kim Woo-bin Has Throat Cancer

Actor Kim Woo-bin is being treated for throat cancer at the young age of 27, his agency SidusHQ said Wednesday.

"Kim felt unwell not long ago and went to see a doctor and was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer", the agency said. "Thankfully it was not too late for treatment, so he began taking drugs and started radiation therapy".
Kim debuted as a fashion model in 2008 and soon turned to acting, quickly becoming one of the hottest young stars. He appeared in a series of hit dramas including "A Gentleman's Dignity" in 2012 and "The Heirs" in 2013.
He was supposed to take part in a new film project, but that will now be suspended to focus on his treatment.
