Kim Yunjin Basks in Admiration of U.S. Fans

"When Americans recognize me it's very surprising", confesses Kim Yunjin, still evidently unused to being an internationally-known star thanks to her part in the hit TV drama "Lost". This Friday, she appears on a talk show on the cable channel CGV, making time to travel to Korea despite her hectic schedule in the U.S. to talk about her love of the series. "Lost" season 2 starts airing on the channel on Thursday.

Kim recalls how happy it made her when American fans approached her for autographs or to take pictures with her in Los Angeles and New York, and about her good fortune being in the show at all.

Originally, Sun, her part in the series, did not even exist. But when the show's creator J.J. Abrams saw Kim in the Korean blockbuster "Shiri", which also showed in the U.S., he immediately set up a meeting with the actress. Apparently, he was so impressed that he then created a role in the show especially for the actress.
