KOFIC Events at Pusan International Film Festival

The Korean Film Council (KOFIC) will coordinate a number of events during the 13th Pusan International Film Festival and the 3rd Asian Film Market, running alongside each other Oct 2 – 10 and Oct 3 – 6 respectively.
During the Market, a KOFIC booth will be located in suite #817 of the Seacloud Hotel, providing books and brochures, internet access and facilitating business meetings. The booth will have available the latest Korean Film Database book (1995-2008) featuring an index of films, directors, cast, and international sales companies.
For the first time since 2005, KOFIC hosts its annual 'Korean Film Night', an invitation-only party celebrating the latest in Korean cinema, during the PIFF period. The event will take place in the Paradise Hotel Garden on Oct 5th, featuring live music from the band "Go Go 70s" with music from the soundtrack to the upcoming film. Also during the party, KOFIC staff will participate in a costume-play featuring famous Korean film characters. Individuals who correctly identify these characters will receive valuable gifts.
Other events on the itinerary are KOFIC's Filmmakers' Development Lab with 5 projects participating in PPP (Pusan Promotion Plan). The 5 project fellows are invited by KOFIC to introduce their work to the international community.
KOFIC will sponsor the Producers' Round Table: Co-production and Production Service in Asia seminar, organized by the Producers Guild of Korea (PGK). KOFIC will also sponsor a Cocktail Happy Hour everyday from 5 – 6pm at the PGK lounge in suite #706 of the Seacloud Hotel.
