KOFIC Launches "Korea Film Scenario DB"

KOFIC announced on June 18 that it would launch an online film scenario market "Korea Film Scenario DB" (www.scenariodb.or.kr) on June 21.
The web site will be a market place for various scenarios in different genres from synopsis to completed works. Directors and producers, who are the main demand force, can browse through assorted collection of scenarios, and make their purchases.
KOFIC stated, "We expect that this official online market will result in improved working conditions for scenario writers as well as strengthened copyright protection. Provision of high-quality scenarios to the production site will contribute to development of the Korean movie industry".
KOFIC plans to post more than 400 scenarios annually on this site.
