Korea and China joining hands to produce TV animation series, 'Tuitui Pangpang Rescue Squad'

The Seoul Business Agency (President Il-bo Shim) announced that it signed a deal with CFG (China Film Group), the biggest film producer and distributor in China, to co-produce aTV animation series called 'Tuitui Pangpang Rescue Squad'.

The TV series is intended to teach pre-school children a sense of space perception and creativity. The series will consist of 52-ten minute-long episodes. (Full 3D Animation)

President Hyung-woo Bang of Vics Creative, one of the production companies, said "We will oversee the planning, final stage and the core parts of the production while the Chinese company will be responsible for the part that requires numerous resources. We will be in a better position to make inroads into the Chinese market because the series will be produced in China in collaboration with the local company".
The series was selected as the best animation in SBA's 2008 public invitation for the selection of pre-production animation to support. Byung-kyu Lee, CEO of Iconix Entertainment and chairman of the awarding committee, said, "Currently animation production for preschool kids is popular in Korea". And he added, "Tuitui Pangpang Rescue Squad" has something special to distinguish it from other similar animation series and is a fairly well-made animation as evidenced by its paper-based landscape constructed by 3D technology. Furthermore, it has great commercial application potential".
