Korea Grand Sale 2012 Begins on Monday

A large-scale Korean shopping festival for foreign tourists began Monday and will continue for 52 days through the end of February.

Roughly 20-thousand shopping malls, hotels, large discount store chains and department stores across the nation will take part in the "Korea Grand Sale 2012", (www.koreagrandsale.or.kr) which offers discounts ranging from ten to 50 percent to foreign tourists.

From opening day, the Visit Korea Committee will also hold a weeklong lottery event for foreign tourists who enter South Korea through Incheon International Airport. Prizes for lottery winners include free gifts like show tickets and hotel vouchers.
