Korean-American Joint Film 'Never Forever' Cranked in.

On July 24, 2006, a Korean-American joint film "Never Forever" was cranked in New York City. This film is a joint production of Now Film in Korea and VOX 3 in the United States, and it will be directed by a young talented Korean movie director Gina Kim. The whole film will be shot in the New York City, and it will be recorded in English. A global premiere of the film is planned in the early 2007.

The director Gina Kim currently teaches film production and film studies classes at the Department of Visual and Environment Studies (VES), Harvard University. She was given a financial support of 10,000 dollars from the film study center at Harvard in 2005. She has already caught an attention from the movie critics via Invisible Light (2003) and Gina Kim's Video Diary (2002).

For the production of his film, the Korean actor Ha Jung-woo, an American actress Vera Farmiga, and a Korean-American actor, David Lee McInnics, were already cast. They are all young, but promising actors in the Korean and American movie industry.

Ha has grabbed the attention from the Korean public, when he performed in the movie "The Unforgiven" (2005). He currently waits for a release of his new movie "Time" (2006).

Farmiga is a rising star at Hollywood. She already achieved a best actress award in a leading role at the LA movie critics' award due to her outstanding performance at Down to the Bone (2004). Recently, the American actress performs at the Martin Scorsese's new film "The Departed (2006)" with Leonardo Dicaprio and Matt Damon. Lastly, Mr. McInnics has been popular in Korea since he performed at Typhoon (2005).

According to the synopsis, Never Forever is a fatal and soulful love story between a Korean man and an American woman, who live in the New York City. Farmiga performs the role of Sophie who has a competent Korean-American lawyer husband. Ha performs the role of Jiha who is falling in love with Sophie during a secret exchange with her. McInnics acts a husband of Sophie.

The cost of the film is estimated to total some three billion dollars, and Prime Entertainment in Korea is investing in the movie.
