Korean Celebrity Makes Debut as a Video Game Model

Korea's leading celebrity in the "Hallyu" phenomenon has been selected as a model for a video game to be released by Microsoft Xbox360 "Console" (110V), Limited Edition.

The vivacious Lee Byung-hun will be the first Korean celebrity to be selected as a model for a video game according to Phantom, the agency representing Mr. Lee, "This new game will feature one of the best game producers in the business, Keiji Inahune of CAPCOM, and we expect this game to showcase the finest digital quality ever". The statement also indicates, "We are not allowed to release the details of the official contract but we are satisfied with the contract".

While the official presentation of "Console" will take place in Tokyo on December 10th 2005, at the time Microsoft Xbox360 is launched, things have been looking bright for actor Lee Byung-hun as he has become one of the leading celebrities of the "Hallyu" phenomenon; several of his soap operas and cinemas have been released in various countries, such as Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam. Among numerous examples of pop culture items of Korea that have been introduced up until now, Lee's projects have been a significant part of "Hallyu".
