Korean Docuhorrormentary

After the success of documentary/horror films such as Paranormal Activity (2007), Cloverfield (2008), and [REC] (2007) on the international circuit Korea is also about to jump on the bandwagon. "Deserted House", like Paranormal Activity, focuses on ghosts which belong to a house that has been infamous with locals for years. The movie is directed by Lee Cheol-ha whose film "Love Me Not" (2006) was Korea's most expensive movie shot by a first time director.

Three home society members and three filmmakers decide to profile a house where over a 42 year period, eight people have died and six have gone missing. After they enter the house they are subject to unimaginable horrors and all that is left after they also disappear is a video.

"Deserted House" also follows in the footsteps of The Blair Witch Project (1999) which popularized the real-time documentary style horror film and went onto gross nearly 250 million (U.S) worldwide. "Deserted House" is slated for release next month.
