Korean fans enraged at Taiwanese talk show over Girls' Generation

A talk show of Super TV in Taiwan raged fans of the Korean group band, Girls' Generation, for using their picture in an inappropriate way.
It was controversial that a picture of Girls' Generation was used in the talk show over female entertainers' sexual bribe in exchange for fame.
In the episode aired on Nov. 2, Taiwanese entertainers, including well-known sharp tongue Chen Ling-ling and former idol singer Lyn Wei-ling, showed up. There a Girl's Generation's picture with the words 'sexual service' in large print at the bottom was displayed with the comment "Korean female entertainers are required to offer a sexual service and have a plastic surgery". The situation was good enough to give the image the group represents such a service offer.
Unable to hold down their anger, Korean fans posted comments like "What had Girls' Generation ever done to you guys?" "They are jealous of the group's popularity" online.
"There are many rules to follow in the Korean entertainment industry. One of them is offering a sexual service", said Chen. "Management agencies in Korea provide singing, dancing, and acting lessons to their entertainers and manage them strictly".
According to his further explanation, once the entertainers are done with their daily schedule, they are invited to a dinner with strangers. First meeting usually ends with simply having a meal together. However, the follow-up get-together is involved with a sexual service.
On the other hand, Lyn Wei-ling, who became famous last August after confessing she was asked for a sexual service in Korea, said, "I was forced to have a plastic surgery while working in Korea. My company ordered me to have a fat injection surgery for my face. When I rejected it, they said it's my duty as an entertainer".
Another guest Wei Wei-an brought a chart titled "Requirements to be an Entertainer" and said, "Girls who think themselves pretty and talented dream of becoming an entertainer. Many of them only consider their look", lashing out at Korean entertainment industry.

지난 2일 방송된 '명운호호완'에는 독설가로 유명한 천링링(陳玲玲), 대만 아이돌 출신 가수 린 웨이링(林韋伶)등이 출연해 "한국 여자 연예인들은 성상납을 해야하며 성형수술 강요도 받는다"고 주장했다. 문제는 이들이 부적절한 발언을 이어가는 내내 소녀시대의 사진을 보여줬다는 것. 사회자들이 들고 있던 사진에는 '성접대'라는 문구가 큼지막하게 박혀있어 마치 소녀시대가 성상납의 대표주자라도 되는 듯한 인상을 주고 있다. 이에 국내 팬들은 '왜 가만히 있는 소녀시대를 건드리냐' '소녀시대의 인기가 높으니 이제는 말도 안되는 루머까지 갖다 붙인다'는 등 분노를 감추지 못하고 있다.
한편 이날 방송에서 천링링은 "한국 연예계에는 수많은 규칙이 있다. 그 중에 하나가 성상납"이라고 말했다. 그는 "회사 측은 노래, 춤, 연기 등을 가르치며 연예인들을 아주 엄격하게 관리한다. 일정이 끝나고나면 전화를 걸어 연예인을 불러내 다른 사람과 식사 자리를 주선한다. 그렇게 첫 만남이 이뤄진다"며 "첫 만남에서는 보통 식사만한다. 하지만 식사가 끝난 뒤 연예인과 만난 사람이 회사 관계자들에게 전화를 걸어 '그 여자 괜찮더라'라고 말한다. 그럼 다음번에는 성상납을 해야한다. 아주 어린 나이부터 이렇게 성접대 강요를 받는다"고 전했다.
지난 8월 "한국에서 활동할 당시 성상납 요구를 받았다"는 발언으로 파문을 불러일으켰던 린 웨이링은 "한국에서 일하는 동안 성형수술을 해야했다. 얼굴에 지방을 넣는 수술을 받으라고 하더라. 싫다고 했지만 연예인으로서의 책임이라고 하더라"라고 주장했다.
