Korean Fantasy Movie 'Welcome to Dongmakgol' Attracts More Than 5 Mln.

A locally-produced movie called "Welcome to Dongmakgol" is going strong here in Korea having attracted more than five million moviegoers as of Friday.
The film set during the early stages of the Korean War is expected to clock about 5-point-2 million admissions this weekend which would then break the record set by "Running Boy" - "Marathon" a local box-office hit about an autistic boy who becomes a Marathon runner.
"Welcome to Dongmakgol" is among a handful of mega-hit movies evoking the tragedy of the three-year Korean War which ended in 1953.
The feel-good movie is about South and North Korean soldiers and an American pilot who overcome their ideological differences and eventually build trust and friendship.
