With Hwang Jung-min, Jin Goo, Kim Min-hee, Kim Sang-ho, Kim Min-jae, Bae Yun-beom,...

Synopsis
The title of this film may bring to mind Herman Melville's classic novel, but "Moby Dick" is actually a chilling voyage through Korean history with enough conspiracy theories to make even the most nationalistic viewer question their government.
When a mysterious explosion destroys the fictional Balam Bridge on the outskirts of Seoul, veteran journalist Lee Bang-woo (Hwang Jung-min) picks up the story and runs with it.
Around the same time, he gets a visit from his old friend Yoon-hyuk (Jin Goo), who offers some highly classified information on the case - that the explosion was no accident and that the government caused it.
Thinking the case is no ordinary job, Lee calls on his fellow reporters Sohn Jin-ki (Kim Sang-ho) and Seong Hyo-kwan (Kim Min-hee) to investigate. But when their investigation uncovers conspiracy after conspiracy, the group begins to question the government and they begin to get threats that could endanger their investigation and their lives.
With a highly esteemed cast of prestigious Korea actors, including Hwang, who is famous for his role in the 2009 film "Private Eye", this movie is bound to raise some eyebrows and could be the harbinger of Korean films to come.

"Short! Short! Short! 2011" (2011)

Directed by Boo Ji-young, Yang Ik-june

With Seo Ju-hee, Heo Joon-seok, Ryu Hye-young, Kim Seo-hee,...

Synopsis
Since 2007, Jeonju International Film Festival has promoted Korean short films planned with its Short! Short! Short! Project that supports short films of talented, young Korean directors. The Short! Short! Short! Project is produced by Indiestory Inc., and co-provided by KT&G Sangsangmadang, Jeonju International Film Festival, and Indiestory Inc. It is a new method of short film production project where three short films are produced in an omnibus type film and screened in theaters.

Through the "Short! Short! Short! 2009" - "Show Me The Money" and "Short! Short! Short! 2010" - "Fantastic Theater" the ―Short! Short! Short!‖ project selected talented young directors annually to produce short films and explore new possibilities for film production. This year, the project has selected directors Boo Ji-young and Yang Ik-june whose potentials have been recognized both in Korea and internationally through their debut works.

Director Boo Ji-young who filmed "Sisters on the Road" (2008) starring Kong Hyo-jin and Shin Min-a, and director Yang Ik-june of "Breathless" (2008) who swept away many awards in film festivals in Korea and internationally have joined together to create a project under the theme of ―love.‖ Unlike the previous year, the two directors will put together two short to mid length films to create one feature omnibus film for a new experimental film method. The ensemble of short films under the theme of ―love‖ by the directors who have already impressed with their distinct style to audiences will be a new challenge taken in the Short! Short! Short! Project.

In this year's Short! Short! Short! Project director Boo Ji-young will present "Moonwalk" (working title) which is a story of a middle aged woman who works at a mart while raising a high school daughter alone. Actor Seo Ju-hee, who is famous for the play The Vagina Monolgues will play the role of the middle aged woman who matures through a love that cannot come true. Director Boo's unique sensitive portrayal and directing abilities are anticipated. Director Yang's "Immaturity" (working title) is about a man with a broken heart who coincidentally meets a young innocent girl and begins a new love that heals him. Director Yang Ik-june cast actors Heo Joon-seok and Ryu Hye-young as lead characters, and he shows through a rough and awkward love, an honest and serene story of youth maturing through love.

"Short! Short! Short! 2011" will be screened as a world premiere during the 12th JIFF and will also be released in theaters for general public after the festival.
