Korean Online games made contracts about $9.7 million during Chinajoy

KOCCA (Korean Creative Contents Agency), SBA (Seoul Business Agency) and DIP (Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency) operated ITS GAME 2011 in China and Chinajoy 2011 B2B Korean hall jointly. It drew many foreign buyers' attentions. Some of them made contracts at the event directly.

About 20 Korean game companies participated in ITS GAME 2011in China and Chinajoy 2011 from 26th~28th of July. They achieved total of 395 consulting cases and $9.7 million value of contracts. It simply doubled the number from the last year's result.

Chinajoy operated B2B section for the first time this year. It made a good synergy with ITS GAME in China. Both events definitely helped effective business activities among participated companies.

The Chairman of Chinajoy organizing committee said "Since famous Korean games are popular in China as well, it would be good for working together both Chinajoy and G-Star, which is the biggest game show in Korea, near future to improve both countries' game industry".

Lee In Sook, Director of Global Business Department at KOCCA, said "I have witnessed how popular Korean online games in China are one more time throughout both events. We will try to have more financial support to make more companies could participate in the next year".
