The Busan Biennale organizing committee said Wednesday that 15 video art works to be displayed at the biennale's Contemporary Art Exhibition have been invited to the Paris Cinema Festival.

As a programmer of the French festival, Park Man-u, the biennale's artistic director, selected the works to be shown under the theme of "A Tale of Two Cities: A View of Young Korean Video Art".

On June 30, the first day of the two-day showing, eights works will be shown at Paris de Toky. They are: " Flying " by Park Chan-kyong, "For Elise" by Koh Seung-wook, "Take a Picture" by Kim Se-jin, "Tourism in Communication" by Ham Yang-ah, "Monologue Monologue" by Park Joo-yeon, "Puzzle 1&2" by Park Jun-bum, "Dove" by Park Yong-suk, "Black Holes" by Yoon Sung-a.

Works to be shown at L'Entrepot on July 1 include "Kid" by Kim Se-jin, "Homo Nomad" by Ham Yang-ah, "Superwoman" by Yoon Jeong-mee, "The Sea Having Two Names" by Sim Cheol-woong, "Monologue Monologue" by Park Joo-yeon, "Sun and Moon" by Park Yong-suk and "De l'autre Cote" by Yoon Sung-a.

The Paris Cinema is a summer festival focusing on introducing visual art works from around the world, including short, feature, documentary films, animations and video art works.

A Busane Biennale staffer said, "We expect that the showing at the Paris Cinema will serve as an opportunity to draw interest in our biennale from Europe and promote Korean video artists overseas".

Meanwhile, The Busan Biennale's Contemporary Art Exhibition will present 140 works from 40 nations at the Busan Museum of Modern Art and Busan Yachting Center from Sept. 16 until Nov. 25.
