don't know where to write a review for this movie, so I thought I would just comment.
I watched this movie mostly because of Ki Bum but for those who can only stand quality movies, this may not be one.
Though I'm not all that familiar with rating/evaluating movies/dramas, here is my personal evaluation:
The plot-line actually had a very good content as well as context, but, unfortunately, it was not depicted to its full potential due to the not-so-good directing. The acting in this movie is applaudable; Song Ha Yoon's interpretation of the mentally-unstable Soo Kyung really sort of creeped me out...especially the sudden outbursts of screaming tantrums. I enjoyed Ki Bum's acting very much...how he was able to depict the duo appearances of Si Bum (as an escort/gangster then as Soo Kyung's loving angel) very well. Okay, now for the negatives. I don't know where to begin to express my dissatisfaction of the editing of this movie. It just leaves the viewer going "Huh? What just happened?" and "Wait..." too many times. Of course, they did do flashbacks to link up the broken pieces of the story (thank goodness) but I still thought that it was rather tiring and confusing following through this movie. As of the ending, I have to say the last scene with the dying Si Bum and the (I think) reviving (as in from her mental illness) Soo Kyung in the rain was good. And so, when I saw the next scene: the prostitute that fell in love with Si Bum earlier in the movie and, apparently, went for the better (becoming an actress or something?), I was like: wait, just WHAT is this for?? I mean, it's nice to see that Si Bum's sacrifice was not in vain for more than one person, but, still...that's just a bit too random...and she's not even the second main character...
In any case, this movie is good...just don't watch it with too much expectation. The swag and aura of the gangsters were depicted well enough in this movie...that's pretty cool for one thing...
