Synopsis
It is the end of Rhee Syng-man's rule. The streets are full of demonstrators, but Tae-woong isn't interested in the chaotic situation. His only interest is finding the guy who had beaten up his friend. He beats him up to avenge for his friend, but is stabbed by Seung-moon. Tae-woong walks to Seung-moon's house, the knife still in his back. He demands that Seung-moon take out the knife himself. Seung-moon's older sister Hye-ok takes interest in Tae-woong's bold character. When the police hear about this incident, they question Tae-woong. They have hopes of getting something on Seung-moon and Hye-ok's father Park Il-won who is the leader of the opposition party, but Tae-woong protects Seung-moon's family. Park Il-won runs for the election as an independent candidate. But the campaign ground is turned into chaos by political gangsters paid by the Liberal Party. Angered, Tae-woong defeats Salmosa of the Jaeryong group and gets a job at Club Miami in Myeongdong. Meanwhile, Hye-ok gets a post in a nearby school as a teacher, and the two are drawn to each other. The conflict between the Myeongdong group and Jaeryong group thickens, and the former ends up being broken down by the conspiracy of the Liberty Party, who were behind the Jaeryong group. When the April 19 uprising is taking place, Tae-woong continues his job of getting money back from former assemblymen. Park Il-won, after several failures, wins the election.
