Koreans Made Happiest by Park Ji-sung

Manchester United striker Park Ji-sung topped the list of people who made Koreans happiest in a poll by the Weekly Chosun magazine, a sister publication of the Chosu Ilbo. The magazine asked 1,502 adults nationwide over 10 days from March 22 who made them happiest for the March/April period. In the list published Saturday, the actor Song Il-kook, who plays the lead in the hit drama "Jumong" which ended March 6, ranked second, mainly due to his massive popularity among women between 30 and 40.

Park Tae-hwan, who took gold in 400 m freestyle in the World Swimming Championships in Melbourne, Australia, came third with 23.8 percent. Figure skater Kim Yu-na, the first Korean to win bronze in the World Figure Skating Championships in Tokyo, was third with 22.6 percent. Lee Bong-ju, the winner of Seoul international Marathon, came fifth with 15.5 percent.

The Weekly Chosun will publish the list every month.
