For Chuseok or Korean Thanksgiving, Korea's favorite girl next door Moon Geun-young will deliver a special message and a demonstration of how to make songpyeon or crescent-shaped rice cakes, courtesy of KTF. Clad in beautiful hanbok, Moon stars in the telecom provider's new TV ad for Chuseok from Sept. 10 through 19.

KTF was uncertain if the young star would be capable of making the rice cakes, a traditional Chuseok staple, but was reportedly surprised to see her deft handling of songpyeon in the studio. Moon says she has the skills because she used to make the rice cakes with her grandmother every Thanksgiving to give her mother some relief.
