Top star Lee Byung-hun will attempt a historical drama for the first time since his debut.

Currently filming the Hollywood movie "G.I. Joe 2", it is a very likely possibility that Lee Byung-hun will play the lead role in "Masquerade".

He has been going through other project offers as well, but is now currently leaning towards "Masquerade".

Realize Pictures chairman Won Dong-yeon and director Choo Chang-min went over to America on November 2nd to meet with Lee Byung-hun. Chairman Won told Sports Dong Ah via phone, "We promised to talk about details. It could be the meeting where we finally make a decision". CJ E&M officials say, "There is very high possibility that Lee Byung-hun will come on board".

If Lee Byung-hun stars in "Masquerade", this will be his first historical drama since his debut. "Masquerade" is about the 15th King of Chosun, Gwanghaegun, and a low class person who looks exactly like him. If he takes the role, Lee Byung-hun will play two roles.

He will return once he is done with "G.I. Joe 2" and start shooting "Masquerade" next year.
