Lee Hyori Returns to Stage in Oct.

South Korea's pop diva Lee Hyori will return to the stage as a singer in October.

According to press reports, Lee will resume her singing career in October with the release of her fourth album. She released her third album in July last year.

"We are now collecting songs to be recorded on the new album, which will be more mature. We are trying to be perfect in producing the album, taking into account Hyo-lee is one of the top singers in the country", an official at M-Net Entertainment, her agency, was quoted as saying. "We are also pooling ideas to come up with innovative dance performances".

Lee, 30, started off as a member of the K-pop girl group Fin.K.L. She emerged as a sex symbol and star after "10 Minutes", from her first solo album, became a hit. She regained her fame last year with "U-Go-Girl", the title track from her third album.

Music officials say she may be able to challenge the latest trend in the music circles where a string of girls groups such as Girls' Generation, 2NE1 and Brown Eyed Girls have been dominant.

During the breaks in her solo music career, Lee also hosted various television programs, including Time Machine and Happy Together.
