Lee Ji-ah "I truly loved Seo Taiji"

Actress Lee Ji-ah said she truly loved Seo Taiji.

She revealed her official statement through her management Key East on the 21st.

She said, "He was a very famous person so he had no choice but to hide his personal life after debut. We apologize for not being able to tell anyone about the marriage and we are going through a rough enough time to deal alone with the divorce".

"We were young but truly loved each other. We just wanted to simply clarify things but again, we apologize for not being civilized about it".

She continued, "We apologize for those who are shocked at the news, about not being able to tell you the truth and to everyone in our management and friends around us who always took care of us".

According to the management, Lee Ji-ah left for the States in 1993 and met Seo Taiji through a friend at a Korean Music event in LA.

She then resided in America and Seo Taiji in Korea with his singing career. They continuously exchanged letter and phone calls, eventually developing into a relationship.

Seo Taiji went over to the States after retiring and helped her adjust to the living environment with language and such, getting closer.

They then had a marriage on their own in 1997 and have been residing in Atlanta and Arizona.

They filed for divorce in 2006 and took effect in 2009.

Management also claims, "There are no children and it's true".
