Lee Joo-young's "Baseball Girl" to Be Released on the 18th of June

The film "Baseball Girl" starring Lee Joo-young comes out on the 18th of June.

The Korean Academy of Motion Picture Arts announced this fact on the 25th. "Baseball Girl" (director Choi Yun-tae) is a female growth drama that shows Joo Soo-in (Lee Joo-young), the only woman on a high school baseball team who is nicknamed 'genius baseball girl' for her 130km/h ball, struggling to overcome the challenges and barriers of reality ahead of her graduation.

Lee Joo-young plays Joo Soo-in, a high school baseball player who has drawn attention by earning the nickname 'genius baseball girl' for her maximum speed of 134 kilometers and strength in ball rotation, and runs toward her dream even though she is blocked by prejudice and doesn't even get a proper opportunity.

"Baseball Girl" has been invited to the 45th Seoul Independent Film Festival since its debut in the Korean film today-Panorama section of the 24th Busan International Film Festival in 2019 and has the honor of winning the award in the actor category of the Independent Star Award.

"Baseball Girl" shows Lee Joo-young's strong will in the poster that was presented with the opening notice, while at the same time, the copies of "Throw it, so that the wall is broken!" and "Every single strike you throw takes you toward your dream" stand out.
