Lee Min-ho and Kim Go-eun's "The King: Eternal Monarch" Confirmed for Next Year

Writer Kim Eun-sook's "The King: Eternal Monarch" is coming out on SBS next year.

Hwa & Dam Pictures and Studio Dragon announced that "The King: Eternal Monarch" is coming out on SBS next year.

"The King: Eternal Monarch" is the collaboration between writer Kim Eun-sook and "Descendants of the Sun" PD Baek Sang-hoon. "The King: Eternal Monarch" is a fantasy romance drama in which a deity has unleashed a demon unto the world of humans, and that demon has opened the door to a parallel world.

Lee Min-ho and Kim Go-eun take the lead as Emperor Lee Gon who tries to shut the doors to the parallel world and as Luna, a criminal character in the Empire of Korea.

"The King: Eternal Monarch" begins filming later this year and is coming out in the middle of 2020.
