Lee Tae-im and Kim Yewon, must there be a witch hunt?

A footage of Lee Tae-im and Kim Yewon's hostile moment in Feburary has been going around and causing issues. This footage contains the reaction of Kim Yewon whose reaction wasn't told of before and has people saying things like, "Kim Yewon did wrong", "Lee Tae-im was still wrong" and more.

Some people also say Kim Yewon should be punished as much as Lee Tae-im and are trying to stop her from joining the "We Just Got Married" show. Others say another footage based on Lee Tae-im should be revealed too.

A fight is always fun to watch and the response to this footage is hard to be called 'vulgar'. This footage may be looked in various angles. Words like, "Why are you looking at me like that?" and "You don't like me do you?" can easily be made into parodies as well.

However, the problem is that movements are being made to end their careers. Celebrities survive on image and this can lead to some loss in popularity but the public are out to get the two of them. Lee Tae-im wasn't that bad and Kim Yewon didn't always 'look at her like that'.

Lee Tae-im could've been irritated at the fact that a younger person than her was sitting down all dry and warm while she'd just come out of the freezing waters and Kim Yewon could've been upset that her senior star was being so hostile to her over nothing. They both had their reasons.

The story would have been much prettier if Kim Yewon had rushed to Lee Tae-im's side when she saw her and Lee Tae-im advised her not to go in because it's cold, but that's just fantasy. For stress-high jobs like theirs, the set alone is their workplace and various hostile situations may happen. It may be professional for one to keep their cool but hey, everyone's human.

What if they were men? Would it have been this bad? If they were in fact men, the issue alone wouldn't have been so magnified in the beginning. Back in the day when "I Am A Singer" was a hit, one of the middle aged singers that appeared in it became a little rough-mouthed at one point. There was a report about it but no one was blamed. The big deal was that the production side did everything in its power to minimize the effect of the cause.

The surprising thing was, rumors said the person was Lee So-ra. The initial report made about this case was soon said to have been targeting her all along when actually she wasn't 'the one'. Lee So-ra had to come out herself and say, "I didn't fight with anyone". Why did she have to be the one to take the blame out of the 10 something singers on the show?

Whoever it is, is it that amazing to see someone say a few bad words? Apparently it is and it happens where we work. If this is such a big deal, we now know that the 'variety shows' we've been watching so far have not been so 'variety' at all.

Some may hate Lee Tae-im more and some may hate Kim Yewon more. However, that's as far as it goes. This is not a blood battle. Let's just give them a chance to get over it and become better people.
