Korean promotions specialist professor Seo Kyeong-deok from Sungsin Women's University revealed that an ad for Bibimbap was published in the New York Times with actress Lee Young-ae who is spreading the word of Korean food with the drama "Dae Jang Geum".
This ad which was published in the Section A page 15 of the February13th issue has a big title saying "BIBIMBAP?" and has a picture of Lee Young-ae in a Hanbok. Professor Seo designed this ad and he says, "As Lee Young-ae starred in the drama "Dae Jang Geum" which more than 3 billion people in over 90 countries have watched, I hoped to introduce Bibimbap in a friendly way. This ad was to promote one of the most popular foods in Korea but I also wanted to present the beauty of the Hanbok to the world".
