Lee Young-ae sued for defaming a Kimchi comapny

Actress Lee Young-ae was sued by a food company for defamation.

The chairman of the Kimchi manufacturing company claimed, "Despite the fact that she's signed onto a company which has rights to her copyright, she claimed that we weren't authorized to and slandered us".

This problem occurred when she brought up the problem of the company having used her pictures from the MBC drama "Dae Jang Geum" on their branding in the year 2011.

Lee Young-ae had said, "I have no knowledge of ever personally signing any contract that says I allow anyone to use my portrait". It didn't lead to a legal case then but this time the company counter sued Lee Young-ae for slander.

Lee Young-ae's spokesperson says, "It seems like B who took care of the contracts forged the signature and this has nothing to do with Lee Young-ae".
