Lee Young-ae to Promote Charitable Activities with UNESCO

Actress Lee Young-ae will work with the Korean National Commission for UNESCO.

"Lee is one of the top celebrities in Korea, while making donations and actively volunteering", a spokesman for the organization said on Tuesday. "We decided to work with Lee to promote the commission's activities such as fundraising and a campaign to render educational support to underdeveloped countries".

Lee donated to a temple in Burma to build a school for poor children in 2012 as well as a school on the verge of closing down due to financial problems in Zhejiang Province in China in 2006.
