On the 29th, Kim Woo-bin shared his handwritten message addressed to his fans on his official fan club website. In his heartfelt letter, he expressed his apologies for not being able to get in touch sooner and shared some of the progress being made in his treatment.

When Kim Woo-bin's health condition was revealed in last May, people were shocked to discover that he had been dianosed with cancer at such a young age. Since he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, he stopped all activity and focused solely on his treatment. It's been 7 months since he was seen, so his letter captured everyone's attention.

Below is the letter he wrote:

This is Kim Woo-bin.

I hesitated for a long while with this pen in my hand. Even though I'm greeting you through a letter, my heart is fluttering as if I'm talking to you face to face. First of all… you must've been surprised, right?

I wanted to talk to everyone sooner, but 7 months flew by as I've been busy with receiving numerous treatments and taking care of my body. Honestly, I think it took longer than it should have been because I was scared every time my name appeared on the news. But, I wanted to make sure that I get in touch with all of you before this year passes by.

I think everyone is most curious about my health. Last May, I was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer, which I'd never heard of in my life. Though I already had a scheduled movie in making, the directors, staff, and the other cast members were willing to delay the shooting so I could clear my schedule and start my treatment.

Thanks to everyone's support and prayers, I could successfully undergo three rounds of chemotherapy and thirty-five rounds of radiation therapy. In between the treatments, I was able to gain comfort and energy as I read your loving comments. I'd like to thank you with all my heart for them.

After successful treatment, I'm healing and consistently attending follow up check-ups. I can feel myself slowly getting better as I regularly eat meals and occasionally go on light walks around the block. However, it will take a bit of a time before I can greet you again. It's quite embarrassing to present myself with such sickness, as ironically, I always tell you all that health is the most valuable asset and to take care of yourselves. Learning from this experience, I will be putting extra effort into keeping my body healthy and try my best to give you only good news from now on.

At this time, I will pray for everyone who is going through trials and hardships themselves and for their family to experience many miracles in this new year. I hope that in 2018, you will find only happiness and good health.

One day, I'll greet you again with a healthy body as if nothing has happened. I'm always grateful, and more grateful. Love you all.

From,
Kim Woo-bin
