[Lily's Take] What are SISTAR members Yoon Bora, Kim Dasom, Hyolyn, and Soyou doing now?

SISTAR's second chapter is proving to be quite exciting The four members of the former K-pop girl group, SISTAR, have paved their owns paths over the past six months.

Formerly one of the top K-pop girl groups, SISTAR disbanded earlier this year in May. Since the disbandment, Soyou and Kim Dasom decided to remain with Starship Entertainment while 'Yoon Bora' and Hyolyn desired a fresh start with a new agency.


Hyolyn announced the start of her official solo career along with the foundation of her own agency called Bridge. She named it bridge in reference to the musical term "bridge", a section of music that connects the verse to the musical climax. In the same way, her new company can connect the musical challenges she takes on in regards to musical genres and communicating with her fans.

In order to challenge herself in many different musical genres, she reached out to received support from numerous creative directors. She is planning on connecting to the artists all over the world to fashion her own style.

'Yoon Bora'

'Yoon Bora' signed a contract with a new agency, Hook Entertainment. Hook Entertainment features several top-class celebrities such as Lee Seung-gi, Lee Seo-jin, and Youn Yuh-jung. According to her new agency, 'Yoon Bora' will be supported as an actress, as a variety show participant, and as a singer.

'Yoon Bora"s first work since she left SISTAR will be as an actress. She is confirmed to play the role of the top star Alice in the upcoming drama, "A Korean Odyssey" alongside Lee Seung-gi and Cha Seung-won.


Soyou is known as the queen of K-drama OSTs and she actively maintains her throne. During her time in SISTAR, she actively pursued her solo career. Now that SISTAR has disbanded, she will be focusing exclusively on her solo album.

As she is famous for having been featured in numerous colla'Yoon Bora'tion with other artists, they are returning the favor by supporting Soyou in her solo career journey. Thanks to the artists such as Sung Si-kyung, Yoon Jong-shin, Primary, and MoonMoon, Soyou's new album will be filled with strong colla'Yoon Bora'tions and songs.

Kim Dasom

Kim Dasom was praised for her acting skill in the drama, "Sister is Alive", which ended recently. Playing the infamous villainess, Yang Dal-hee, Kim Dasom's vicious acting has captured audiences.

At first, people were wary about another k-pop idol coming into the drama world via her looks and popularity. However, Kim Dasom was able to prove them wrong with her passionate acting. People commented that "Sister is Alive" was a new discovery of Kim Dasom.

Kim Dasom is taking a rest after "Sister is Alive" ended and looking into her next opportunity.
